Description Developing Memorable Presentations: Strategies to Make Ideas Stick
Christina Petersen, CTL

In their recent book, Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die, Chip and Dan Health explore what separates memorable ideas from quickly forgotten concepts. They have identified six common principles and situated them in an easy-to-implement framework that will make your presentations easier to understand and more memorable. In this half-day workshop we will adapt this framework for an academic audience and provide you with a set of principles for developing your presentations, whether you are teaching students, providing training, or delivering information to your work group. The interactive design of this workshop allows you to benefit from the experience of your colleagues and examples and suggestions will apply to face-to-face, online, and hybrid learning environments. Lunch is provided.
